Alternative Content Management Systems

WordPress was originally built as a blogging platform, and has morphed over the years in to an all round Content Management System (CMS). Although superior to other CMS’s on the market, it can feel complicated if incorrectly configured.

We've successfully built many websites using WordPress, including the most recent website for Cornerstone Church Kingston.

I’d like to propose two alternative CMS’s that could be used. Both come with a one-off purchase price, however online support is offered as part of this.

Firstly, ‘Perch’ (grabaperch.com) is a PHP hosting platform - designed to improve the usability for administrators. Perch is supported and regularly updated, and used by thousands of happy customers around the world. It costs $69 per website. That’s a one-time cost. You can try it out locally for free first.

Alternatively, Statamic (statamic.com) is a newer PHP CMS, which is designed for slightly larger websites. A true CMS designed to make agencies profitable, developers happy, and clients hug you.
